OSHA 300 Log

Cal/OSHA Record Keeping Requirements

To be in compliance with Cal/OSHA's record keeping requirement, please post your department's 300A summary for the previous calendar year on your safety bulletin board starting on February 1st. Note: if your department had no cases, write a zero and post.

  • View your OSHA's Form 300s and County 370s to ensure accuracy of the cases.
  • Transfer the information to your 300A summary.
  • Get your Agency or Department Head to view, certify, and sign the summary.
  • Post the summary starting on February 1st.

Keep it posted for three months and take it down close of business April 30th. The 300A and all other records (300s, 5020s/370s or 301s) then need to be maintained for five (5) calendar years in your record keeping and retention system.
